1. Definitions & Parties

For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions:

“Confucius Education” refers to the tutoring, coaching and consulting service owned and operated by Dylan Schonké, including all associated branding, websites, materials and any authorised tutors working under the brand.

“The Tutor” refers to:

a. Dylan Schonké, and

b. any associate tutor, consultant or subcontractor appointed or authorised by Confucius Education to deliver sessions on its behalf.

“The Client” refers to any individual, parent, student, professional or organisation who books, attends or pays for any service. 

“Services” include, but are not limited to: tutoring across all university subjects, academic mentoring, mathematics, finance, economics, accounting, business subjects, career coaching, interview preparation, personal statement support, start-up advisory, consulting, Human Design guidance and all related educational or strategic services.

“Session” means any meeting, call, lesson or appointment booked between the Tutor and the Client.

“Package” refers to any prepaid bundle of 5, 10, 20 hours or any customised number of hours.

“Working Hours” refer to Monday to Friday, UK time, excluding weekends and UK public holidays..

2. Scope of Agreement

2.1 These Terms govern all Services delivered by Confucius Education.

2.2 By booking, paying for or attending any session, the Client confirms they have read, understood and accepted these Terms.

2.3 These Terms apply whether the session is delivered by Dylan Schonké or an authorised associate tutor.

3. Booking Policy

3.1 Session Duration 

• Minimum booking is 1.5 hours.

• Shorter sessions are not provided.

3.2 Booking Confirmation

 A session is confirmed only when:

a. the Tutor has agreed to the time, and

b. payment has been made for the session or package. 

3.3 Tutor Availability

Confucius Education may adjust availability, reschedule sessions or assign an associate tutor where necessary. Clients may not demand availability outside the Tutor’s schedule

.

4. Payment Terms

4.1 All payments must be made in advance to confirm a booking.

4.2 Accepted methods: bank transfer, Revolut, Wise, Stripe or other approved methods.

4.3 Packages must be completed within 3 months unless otherwise agreed.

4.4 Invoices may be issued upon request.

5. Refund & Cancellation Policy

5.1 Non-Refundable Packages

a. All prepaid packages are strictly non-refundable, fully or partially.

b. No refunds are provided for unused sessions or remaining hours.

c. Credit cannot be transferred to another client.

d. Refunds are not provided due to changes in client availability, workload, academic schedule, personal circumstances, travel or loss of interest.

e. Exceptions apply only in cases of proven fraud or duplicate payment.

5.2 Client Cancellations

If the Client cancels or postpones a session with less than 24 hours’ notice, the full fee is charged.

5.3 Tutor Cancellations

 If the Tutor cancels due to illness or emergency, the session will be rescheduled at no cost. No refund is owed.

5.4 Expiry of Hours

Expired hours cannot be carried forward, refunded, resold or exchanged.

6. Conduct, Materials & Intellectual Property

6.1 The Tutor will deliver professional service in good faith but does not guarantee exam results, job offers, admissions or performance outcomes.

6.2 Clients must attend sessions on time and ensure proper internet, equipment and preparedness.

6.3 All documents, templates, spreadsheets, notes and frameworks remain the intellectual property of Confucius Education and may not be shared, copied or used commercially.

6.4 Recording of sessions is prohibited unless explicitly permitted by the Tutor.

6.5 When services are delivered by an associate tutor, all rights, ownership and liability remain with Confucius Education.

7. Communication Policy

7.1 Communication is conducted primarily via email or WhatsApp.

7.2 Response time is within working hours and not guaranteed instantly.

7.3 The Tutor does not respond during weekends, as notifications remain off.

7.4 Urgent matters cannot be guaranteed outside scheduled sessions.

7.5 Clients must respect the Tutor’s working schedule.

8. Use of Website & Online Platforms

By accessing www.confucius-education.co.uk, the Client agrees not to:

• copy or modify website content

• republish or redistribute materials

• use any content commercially

• decompile or reverse engineer any element

Confucius Education may update website content or policies at any time without notice.

9. Liability

9.1 Confucius Education is not liable for:

• exam failure

• academic or professional rejection

• employment outcomes

• technology failures

• scheduling issues

• time-zone differences

• missed deadlines

• indirect, incidental or consequential damages

9.2 Maximum liability shall never exceed the value of the services paid for.

10. Data Protection & Privacy

10.1 Confucius Education complies with UK GDPR.

10.2 Client data is confidential and never shared except when required by law.

10.3 Materials and screenshots are protected content.

10.4 Sessions may not be recorded by the Client without permission.

11. Governing Law 

These Terms are governed by the laws of:

• the United Kingdom

• the European Union (where applicable)

• relevant international contract law

Any dispute shall be brought exclusively before the courts of England and Wales.

12. Acceptance

By booking, paying for or attending any session, the Client confirms full acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

13. Amendments to These Terms

13.1 Confucius Education may update or modify these Terms at any time.

13.2 The most recent version is always available on the website.

13.3 Continued use of Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13.4 Clients are encouraged to check periodically for revisions.
